Gel gel heel pads provide extra cushioning, stability and soft support for painful heel injuries. Wear inside both shoes or boots for instant comfort and pain relief. Provides all-round cushioning and added comfort to the heel and ankle helping to relieve pain related to plantar fasciitis and other injuries.

Ultimate Performance Gel heel pads

We recommend Ultimate Performance Gel heel pads for general comfort and injury prevention as well as help treating the following injuries:

Bruised heel

A bruised heel or Policeman's heel is an overuse injury where the protective fat pad under your heel becomes compressed. As a result bruising occurs as well as stress reaction injury to the calcaneus bone in your heel.

Wear the Gel heel pad all the time until your symptoms resolve. Make sure you wear them in both feet because otherwise one leg is longer than the other, leading to secondary injuries.

Gel heel pads for Plantar fasciitis

Plantar fasciitis is the most common cause of pain under the heel. Gel heel pads relieve pressure on the painful part of your heel, allowing it to rest and begin to recover. If your feet overpronate or flatten as you walk, then consider full orthotic type insoles as well.

Achilles tendonitis

The gel heel pad raises the heel causing your calf muscles to temporarily shorten. As a result this relieves strain on your Achilles tendon allowing it to rest and recover. Wear in both shoes until your symptoms resolve. Avoid long term use to avoid adaptive shortening of your calf muscles.

The thin edge allows the insole to fit inside the shoe for better fit and comfort during wear. Wear with all types of footwear. Recommended for: extra cushioning, soft support and pain relief. Ideal for plantar fasciitis, heel spurs and bruised heels.

Frequently Asked Questions

FAQ's

Do I need to remove my existing insole?

Yes! These are full length insoles and replace the insoles in neutral or supportive running shoes. They work best when they have a flat surface as a base. If you leave the existing insole in then you reduce the space inside the shoe and make it less stable.

Should I gradually increase wear time?

If you have not worn orthotic type insoles before then we recommend gradually increasing wear time over the first couple of weeks. This avoids muscle fatigue and allows your body time to adapt to the improved gait and posture provided by the insole.

What's the difference between the Active and Advanced Insoles?

Our Active models give a slightly lesser degree of support than the cushion and support versions of the Advanced insoles, ideal for everyday footwear. Advanced Insoles are designed to use in running and walking footwear, coping with any performance level.

Why different support levels?

Altogether the Active and Advanced insoles provide five levels of support to closely match the requirement of almost any user in any kind of footwear: standing, walking or running.
